Compare the payout for a natural blackjack

A natural blackjack is an initial two-card hand consisting of an ace and a ten-value card, subject to the table's rules. Its advertised payout is different from the ordinary payout for winning a hand. Reaching 21 with three cards usually does not qualify for the natural-blackjack rate.

On a winning C$20 natural, a 3:2 payout means C$30 profit and C$50 returned including the original stake. At 6:5, it means C$24 profit and C$44 returned. Read the dealer and player rules together

A soft hand contains an ace still counted as 11 without taking the total over 21; ace-six is a soft 17. A hard 17 has no ace that can be counted that way. A table may require the dealer to stand on all 17s or to hit soft 17, and this instruction is separate from your own hit-or-stand decision.

Doubling and splitting also have boundaries. A table can limit which starting totals may double, whether doubling is allowed after a split, how often pairs may be split and how split aces are played. Live seats and software hands create a different rhythm

A software table usually allows you to start a round when ready and read the controls at your own pace. A live table follows the dealer's round and a decision timer. At a limited-seat table you may wait for a place; some alternative formats let multiple players join a common initial hand.
