What does “100% up to” mean?
A percentage match and a maximum bonus describe two different limits. In a fictional 100% match capped at 100 units, a qualifying 40-unit deposit adds a 40-unit bonus; a qualifying 200-unit deposit still adds at most 100. The minimum qualifying deposit and any account-currency rules belong in the same comparison.
A package spread across several deposits should be separated into its individual stages. A large combined headline does not mean that the whole amount arrives with the first deposit. Check whether free spins, a free bet or another benefit are included and whether they have their own conditions.
Bonus-only versus deposit-plus-bonus wagering
The wagering basis is the amount multiplied by the stated requirement. A 20× multiplier on a 100-unit bonus means 2,000 units of qualifying turnover. A 20× multiplier on a 100-unit deposit plus that 100-unit bonus means 4,000. The multiplier is identical; the required turnover is not.
These are arithmetic examples, not a forecast of the money you will retain. Turnover is the sum of qualifying wagers, while the balance changes as games settle. Completing a requirement does not establish a profit. When a source describes wagering on bonus winnings or spin winnings, keep that wording distinct from wagering on the original bonus amount.
Free spins have a value and a winnings rule
The number of spins alone does not give their full value. Check the stake per spin, eligible game, release schedule and activation window. Spins released in daily batches may require a separate action each day; the lifetime of resulting winnings can differ from the lifetime of the spins.
As a dated example, RocketPlay's reviewed first-deposit terms separate five daily spin batches from the cash bonus. Its CAD version also sets separate winnings caps for the cash-bonus and spin parts. How game contribution changes qualifying turnover
A contribution rate determines how much of a wager counts toward the requirement. In a fictional promotion, a 10-unit eligible wager contributing 100% reduces remaining turnover by 10 units; the same wager at 10% contribution reduces it by one. A 0% game contributes nothing.
Read the eligible-game list before comparing a bonus with the games you prefer. Some promotions exclude table games, live games or specific slots. A maximum permitted bet is a separate condition, and buying a feature can have its own treatment. A low multiplier does not compensate for a product you did not intend to use.
Welcome, reload, cashback and free-bet offers
A welcome bonus generally concerns a new account or first qualifying deposit. A reload concerns a later qualifying deposit. Cashback describes a calculation and crediting rule: it may arrive as cash or as bonus funds that require wagering. Read the formula, minimum qualifying activity, credit date and withdrawal treatment instead of treating the label as an unconditional refund.
Sports free bets have a different structure. Check the qualifying stake, minimum odds, permitted bet types and expiry. The free-bet stake may be removed from the return, depending on the terms. A no-deposit promotion can still have verification or cashout conditions, so its name should not be used as shorthand for unrestricted cash.
Bonus cashout cap versus account withdrawal limit
A promotion's maximum cashout controls how much can be retained or withdrawn from that promotion. An account or method withdrawal limit controls a payment allowance over a transaction or time period. They answer different questions and can both apply.
Suppose a fictional promotion caps withdrawable winnings at 500 units while the payment method allows 250 units per request. The promotional cap does not become 250 simply because one request is smaller, and the method cap does not authorize withdrawal of winnings above 500. The actual operator's rules determine how requests are scheduled and whether other limits apply.
A short checklist for comparing bonus terms
Use one currency and one product at a time. Keep the maximum match, minimum deposit, wagering base and lifetime visible together. Where a significant clause is missing, leave the comparison open until it is confirmed instead of filling it with a favorable assumption.
- Match percentage, maximum amount and account currency.
- Wagering multiplier, exact basis and eligible game or market contribution.
- Minimum deposit or qualifying bet, including payment exclusions.
- Activation and completion deadlines; maximum bonus bet.
- Treatment of bonus funds, winnings cap and withdrawal conditions.
- Source URL, check date and the local version of the promotion.
